ASSOC. PROF. DR. MILENA KICHEKOVA WAS ELECTED A MEMBER OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL UNION OF CONSTRUCTION IN BULGARIA

Assoc. Prof. Milena Kichekova, PhD - Head of the Department of Construction of Buildings and Facilities at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Scientific and Technical Union for Construction in Bulgaria. This happened at the General Assembly of the branch organization, which was held in Sofia.
Varna Free University has a long-standing partnership with the Scientific and Technical Union for Construction. The University and the Union hold the largest scientific event in the field of civil engineering - the International Scientific Conference on Designing Buildings and Structures. The 11th edition of the event will be held at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" in September 2020. The Department of Construction of Buildings and Facilities actively cooperates with the Scientific and Technical Union for Construction in Bulgaria in the implementation of the European Charter of Competences of Future Civil Engineers - for their successful career development in the industry, as well as the introduction of innovative training in areas such as digitalization, BIM technologies, sustainable construction, etc.
The Scientific and Technical Union for Construction in Bulgaria is one of the first in the country and was established in 1965.
