Artists from the Chinese province of Guizhou start their national tour from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"
Artists from the Chinese province of Guizhou will open their national tour with a concert at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" on January 10, 2025 (Friday) at 2:30 p.m. in the Aula Maxima. They will perform traditional folklore music inspired by the mountains and springs of the region in the Year of the Snake, which bestows prosperity. It is a free admission.
In the performance, dancers from the Guizhou Lantern Theater will present the rich cultural heritage and artistic charm of ethnic minorities in the Chinese province through traditional folk dances and songs.
Guizhou is located in the interior of Southwest China. The unique geographical charm merges with the human - the mountains and springs - the land and water - elevate man, according to the local people. Amidst this magnificent landscape, the resilient and optimistic people of Guizhou have created a large number of literary and artistic treasures full of local characteristics.
The event is organized by the China Cultural Center - Sofia and Guizhou Cultural and Performing Theater Concern. The tour will continue with concerts in Plovdiv and Sofia.
