Annual Concert of the Students Majoring in Choreography - a Captivating Celebration of Dance and Creativity

On March 27th and 28th, 2025, Aula Maxima Hall at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will become a stage of inspiration, rhythm and artistry. The students in Choreography will present their annual concert – a captivating spectacle that will demonstrate their progress in mastering the art of dance. In the project, the young artists will show original choreographies developed on the foundations of folklore and contemporary dance traditions.
The major Choreography at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the folk dance by studying its stylistic features and techniques. During their studies, they improve their performing skills and acquire valuable knowledge in the field of stage practice. The university’s Academic Dance Theater is the place where students realize their creative ideas and, under the guidance of established teachers, prepare projects that become part of the university’s rich cultural calendar.
This year's event will traditionally be special - it will include students from the 10th, 11th and 12th grades of the Secondary School for Humanities and Arts "Konstantin Preslavski" - Varna. They will present their skills within the framework of the concert programme, which will provide an opportunity for a meeting between different generations of dance artists. The joint participation of university and school students is part of the continuity in the art of dance and the development of future professionals in the field of choreography.
The annual concert of Choreography major is a stage performance, but also a culmination of the educational process, as well as proof of the high level of teaching at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
