An Information Day for the Erasmus+ Programme at Varna Free University

11 April 2025

Students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" took part in an information day dedicated to the opportunities for student mobility under the Erasmus+ programme for the academic year 2025/2026 (winter semester).

During the event, students learned about the application procedures, selection criteria, partner universities and companies in Europe, as well as the financial parameters of mobility (Erasmus grant). The procedures for recognizing the period of study, the application deadlines, as well as the opportunities for re-participation in the programme for students who have already completed mobility were also presented.

The discussion with students who have already done study or practice under the programme was particularly useful for future participants. They shared their experience, the challenges they faced, and the benefits of participating in Erasmus+. Melih Nehat, who was at Maltepe University in Istanbul, and Emily Dimitrova and Evelina Godemanova who were in Obuda University in Budapest presented their Erasmus mobility.

The Erasmus+ programme is an initiative of the European Union that enables students to study at European partner universities without paying academic fees, as well as to carry out internships in European companies, organizations and institutions. Participation in the programme enriches the academic and professional experience of students, while at the same time gives them the opportunity to immerse themselves in new cultural and educational environments.
