ADMISSIONS TO THE MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMME IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

THE FIRST CLASS
Something new has happened in the entrepreneurial environment in Bulgaria over the past year. It was joined by the first class of graduates of the master's degree programme in Entrepreneurship in Varna (a joint project of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and BEC (Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center). It uses study materials from Stanford and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) training courses.

The first class of 30 students successfully presented their projects to international investors and business representatives, including Larry Biehl - US financial advisor and investment manager, programme initiator and mentor, Michael Marvin - one of the founders of Tech Valley in New York and the investment funds Innovation Accelerator Bulgaria and Brightcap Ventures funds.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
Startup projects inspired by the programme in Entrepreneurship have already made their first real steps in business. Within two semesters, the training brought to Bulgaria the best practices of Silicon Valley lecturers and the experience of world-renowned entrepreneurs.
During the new academic year, the training will again be led by some of the most successful entrepreneurs with experience in deals in the US, Bulgaria and the world. Among the Bulgarians who will teach, stand out the names of senior managers with successful careers abroad.

Michael Marvin, one of the founders of Tech Valley in New York, said that he teaches the students in the specialty of taking full advantage of the potential of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in creating their products and services for the market. "You have brilliant young people in Bulgaria, encourage them!" he said.

The focus of this year's training will be on social entrepreneurship, which mixes business ingenuity with social mission, skillful blending and balance of social and economic goals with a good understanding of the needs of the community.
For the best candidates, Varna Free University and business will award partial scholarships in the new academic year.
The training in the programme is conducted entirely in English.

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is the largest private university in Bulgaria. It is an established academic centre that combines the training of Bulgarian and foreign students in areas of priority for the country and creates an internationally convertible and competitive scientific and academic product. It trains over 10,000 students in more than 67 bachelor’s and master's degree and 29 doctoral programmes.
BEC (Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center) was created in April 2017 by a group of inspired entrepreneurs. BEC is a programme of the InterCulture Foundation, a nonprofit organization located in the area of San Francisco Bay in California. For this inspired group of people, among whom are Larry Biehl, Norman Winarski, Vasil Terziev, Bogomil Balkanski, Dafina Toncheva and others. "Entrepreneurship" is a verb, not a noun and not an inert state, but a process of continuous development and upgrade.
