A STUDENT FROM VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" AMONG THE FINALISTS IN A PRESTIGIOUS INTERIOR DESIGN COMPETITION

Irina Hristova, a 4th- year interior design student at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", was nominated among the eight finalists in the prestigious Nova City Group competition, in which students of architecture and interior design from eight universities in the country participated. This year the theme of the competition was "Development of interior design of premises in the national community centre "Aleko Konstantinov 1897" - public interior for a building, cultural heritage - a challenge even for architects with serious experience in the profession.
Ivayla Gabrovska, 5th- year architecture student at Varna Free University, also participated in the competition.
The participants had to develop an interior design for several premises of the community centre in order to improve the functionality and visual aspect of the building, to develop an interior design concept suitable for modern understandings of a community centre, tailored to the different social and age groups of society - schoolchildren, students, pensioners etc.
Jury of the competition were leading names in architecture and interior design in our country.
