The Club of Lawyer "Prof. Tamara Hinova" at the Student Council of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" organized the first public event for this academic year - a lecture by judge Ivelina Hristova-Zheleva on the topic "Anti-social Behavior of Minors. Special Rules for the Consideration of Cases.
Judge Ivelina Hristova-Zheleva heads the 27th formation of the Varna District Court, Criminal Division. She has extensive experience handling cases involving under aged offenders. Her career began as an investigative police officer and later became a junior prosecutor in the District Prosecutor's Office - Varna, before being appointed as a judge in 2016. Her professional profile includes specializations in key topics such as international cooperation in criminal cases, human trafficking and the protection of child victims, as well as participation in numerous seminars and projects for professional development.
Judge Zheleva's lecture drew the attention of students and lectures to the special rules for considering cases related to anti-social behavior of minors. Her expert knowledge and practical experience on the subject offered the participants an insight into the specific methods of working with minors in the legal system and the importance of a special approach in court cases involving underaged people.
