A series of lectures on "Crisis Management" were presented to students from Varna Free University by the Polish lecturers Radoslav Harabin and Gregory Wilk-Jakubowski from the University of Social Sciences at Lodz. The lecturers are visiting the Department of Administration, Management and Political Science at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabur" as part of Erasmus + incoming teaching mobility.
Andreas Christofi is Chief Inspector at the Cyprus Fire Brigade. He is also the Director of the Cyprus Fire Safety Training School and a Fellow of the Fire Safety Institute. He has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Fire Safety Engineering from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", along with nine other Cyprus firefighters.
During the academic 2019/2020 year, the Black Sea Security Academy launches Leaders Lecture Series at Varna Free University. They will be delivered by world experts and leaders in the field of cybersecurity, national security and international relations.

The Faculty of Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" conducts sequential training of taxable persons under Art. 4 of the Law on Measures for preventing Money Laundering, in accordance with the regulatory requirements and the Regulations for its implementation. The course will be held on 16 October 2019 at 9:30 in the conference hall of the Faculty of Law. It will include accountants and auditors.
The CityWalk project, which involves Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” and Varna Municipality, won the People's Choice Award at the 12th edition of the Regio Stars competition - for innovative projects financed by European cohesion funds. The project, which competes in the category "Building of cities resilient to climate changes", can change the environment, have good sustainability, and the positive practices can be transferred everywhere else. It has garnered the most points among the 254, 000 Europeans who have voted.
A new Master's Degree Programme in Applied Psychology, focused on organizational diagnostics and organizational consulting, launches Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" this academic year. The program is aimed at bachelors and masters in psychology, as well as graduates from other professional fields. The two-semester course focuses entirely on practice and complies with the requirements of the European Federation of Psychological Associations for the preparation of psychologists for independent practice and the European Qualifications Framework.
12 out of the 18 students at the diploma theses defence of the professional area 4.6 of Informatics and Computer Sciences received excellent marks (6.00) at the weekend. Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" pays serious attention to the training in criminology of the students majoring in National Security Protection and in Law. The module is taught in three semesters, tells Prof. Yonko Kunchev, D.Sc. in an interview for Posoki programme on Cherno More TV. Prof. Kunchev is a criminology lecturer at the Department of Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law.
