The 20th Summer Scientific Session of the Faculty of Law started at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
98 papers will be presented by participants from eight countries in the areas of Law, National Security and Psychology. Scientists, doctoral students and university students from Bulgaria, Turkey, Israel, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Cyprus and Kazakhstan will present their research.
The Bulgarian participants come from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Veliko Turnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", The University of Library Studies and Information Technologies, The National Military University "Vasil Levski", The South-West University "Neofit Rilski", Technical University - Varna, Plovdiv University "Paisiy Hilendarski ", Ruse University "Angel Kanchev", UNWE, Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov "- Varna, the National Center for Public Health and Analysis, the Center for Mental Health - Ruse, the Center for Public Support - the town of Levski, and Varna Free University.
In his welcoming words to the participants in the forum, Prof. Dr. Petar Hristov - Rector of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" emphasized the connection between science and culture. "We cannot deny the paramount role of the level of science and education in ensuring the future of every nation and people," he said. The Rector made an interesting historical and cultural parallel between facts and events in Bulgarian and world history, emphasizing the words of the patron of the university - Chernorizets Hrabar, which became the motto of the events related to the 30th anniversary of its establishment: "Learn and search ".
The 20th Summer Scientific Session was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. D.Sc. Yonko Kunchev. The science forum is a red-letter day for our faculty, a celebration of scientific creativity and inspiration, he said. The session shows the rich spectrum in which research in the field of law, security and psychology is conducted. Its main objective is to expand the opportunities for exchange of scientific experience and cooperation with representatives of various universities, organizations and experts from practice; to stimulate the research of lecturers, doctoral and university students and to facilitate making new contacts of mutual benefit.
The plenary session was opened with the paper of Prof. D.Sc. Yonko Kunchev, who analyzed the relationship between the categories "traces" and "evidence" through the prism of their theories. In his scientific work, Prof. Kunchev reasonably proposed a change in texts in the Criminal Procedure Code related to the evidence.
Prof. D.Sc. Lyudmil Georgiev - a leading lecturer in the Department of Psychology at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" will present the topic "Love: the Existential Entelechy of Life".
Yani Yanev - Vice President of the University presented the paper "Is Bulgaria of Isperih the Successor of the Territorial Rights under the Treaty of the year 448 between Byzantium and the Hunnic Empire".
36 papers will be presented during the scientific conference with international participation "Law and Society", hosted by the Department of Legal Sciences. I hope the event will provoke the professional interest of the participants, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova, Head of the Department ►

Rumeli University from Turkey not only took part in the XX Summer Scientific Session of the Faculty of Law, but also presented its exhibition, in line with the idea of the "Society and Security" conference. The guest at the opening of the exhibition was Mr. Shemsettin Simsek - Attaché for Social Affairs at the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Burgas. Ayşe Tanshu, director of the Vocational School of Public Health, spoke on behalf of Rumeli. Varna Free University and Istanbul Rumeli University maintain a long and fruitful cooperation.
The participants and guests of the conference enjoyed the performances of the soloists at the State Opera in Varna, who performed a concert "Varna, Music and the Sea" on the open stage in the picturesque park of the university. It is organized by the UNESCO Club Varna, with the support of the Culture Fund of the Municipality of Varna, and is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the declaration of Varna a resort town. Works by Alexander Krastev, Dobri Hristov and Milko Kolarov were presented.
The Bulgarian premiere of the documentary film "The German Teacher" by Prof. D. Sc. Evgeniy Kozhokin was presented today at 6 pm at Aula Maxima Hall at the University. The film show provoked a lot of interest. A guest of the film show was Nikolai Pavlovich Khokhlov - Vice Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Varna. After the premiere, the guests asked questions and congratulated Prof. Kozhokin on the fascinating story about the life of the intelligence officer Rahim Burkhanov.
