The second stage in the defense of the diploma projects of the students from the Master's degree programme in "Circular Economy" of Varna Free University is being prepared. The Master's theses are expected with great interest, provoked by the high value of the solutions offered during the first session in the field of circular economy in November last year. "Models and concepts of high scientific and applied value were shown. The developments have shown that the concept of circular economy provides us with tools to support ecosystems and puts consumption in unison with terrestrial regenerative capacity," commented Prof. Emil Panushev - Head of the Master's degree programme.
Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” launches virtual free courses today aimed at students and teachers as well as parents. The topics will support the learning process and contribute to students' vocational guidance and civic education. The topics are 20 and sent to more than 300 schools using the Google G-Suite education platform, as well as to regional education departments. There was a strong interest in the courses as soon as they were announced.
On the day of the psychologist - April 4, a team from the Bulgarian National Television met with the head of the Department of Psychology at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" - Assoc. Prof. Krasimir Ivanov, PhD, M.D. and the university alumni - Kamelia Nikolova, consultant psychologist and Svilen Lapakov, oncology psychologist.
Since today - April 1, a hotline for psychological counseling of students, professors and friends of the University has been opened on the website of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" - www.vfu.bg.
Within days of the announcement of the state of emergency, Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” started a fully online learning process. 335 courses have been created in various specialties and disciplines, held in 813 virtual classrooms. The courses provide students with the materials they need to independently prepare and control their knowledge, and the classes in the virtual classrooms allow them to synchronize video communication with the lecturers, in the full scope of the academic workload. During the first week of the ONLINE training, the system has been used by our students throughout Bulgaria, as well as in 14 other countries - Ukraine, Turkey, Belgium, Romania, USA, England, Germany, Canada, Austria, Russia, Greece, Norway, Netherlands, France.

Due to the great interest, Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" starts the second session of "Virtual open windows for candidate students". It will run from 26 March to 5 April 2020. Applying to the university is 24/7 – entirely in electronic environment!
Prof. Petar Hristov, Rector of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was a guest on the Evropa TV show - "With Daniela Naumova in Eurospace". The topic of the issue was dedicated to national security and defence education.
The European Commission announced today its decision to recertify VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" with the logo "HR Excellence in Research" until March 23, 2023. This is proof that Varna Free University offers and guarantees stimulating and favorable working environment for its researchers.
