The Mayor of Varna, Ivan Portnih and the Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Todor Balabanov presented today Varna Awards in the fields of culture, science and education. The ceremony took place at the Heroes' Hall in the seaside capital.
Dear students, We would like to inform you that on the grounds of Order RD-01-626 / 27 Oct 2020 of the Minister of Health, issued in connection with the introduction of temporary anti-epidemic measures on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, with his Order № 60 / 28 Oct 2020, the President of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" orders, as of 29 October 2020 to 12 November 2020, to suspend the classroom learning at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"; classes and exams to be conducted entirely in electronic environment. The same order cancels all mass events at the University.
The fourth-year students of Architecture, conducted 30 hours of field lectures in History of Bulgarian Architecture. During the classes they visited the largest historical sites in Varna, Devnya, Provadia, Shumen and Razgrad.
Students majoring in Architecture at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" were given assignments to develop projects for development plans in the new industrial territory of Devnya, as well as production buildings in it. This happened during the "field lectures" in the course of Industrial Buildings and Complexes, which were held in the Municipality of Devnya. The future architects met with Mayor Svilen Shitov and Chief Architect Simeon Georgiev. The students got acquainted with the plans for the establishment of an industrial zone near the city.
Cultural tourism management in the municipality of Kazanlak was discussed by students and lecturers in the master's degree programmes in Advertising and Public Relations in Business Management and Cultural Tourism Management at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The programmes are led by Assoc. Prof.Georgi Kalaglarski, PhD. Specialists from the municipal administration and experts from the regional museum and art gallery in the town also took part in the discussion.
Assoc. Prof. Zhechka Ilieva, PhD and students in the master's degree programme in Preservation of Cultural Heritage at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" presented a conceptual model for socialization on the territory of "Varna Necropolis I", where the oldest processed gold in the world was discovered.
Elitsa Krumova - a graduate in Informatics and Computer Science at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", is the first Bulgarian to enter the prestigious ranking of influencers in the technological field of the authoritative magazine The Awards Magazine. She is also in the Top 50 Women Influencers in 2020 in the world of technology, and is currently among the top 10 in the Top 100 Thought Leaders & Influencers Division - IoT Premier League.
VFU law students are on placement at the Court of Appeal - Varna. The court is a training organization under the "Student Internships - Phase 2" project of the Ministry of Education and Science, and one of the mentors is the criminal judge Svetoslava Koleva, the court's press service reported.
Representatives of the Black Sea Security Academy at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" took part in the Industrial Forum, which was held in Plovdiv, within the International Exhibition "Hemus 2020 - Defence, Counterterrorism and Security". They briefed the participants on Israel's leading experience in coordinating academic education, industry and the role of the state in national security. The forum is a generator of ideas and a mediator at the national level, which aims to support the implementation of successful policies for the development of technology in the field of defence and security.
