On behalf of the University and the Russian Center flowers were put at the monuments of Count Ignatiev and the first Russian diplomat Alexander Rachinsky by Prof. Dr. Galina Shamonina - Secretary General of the University and Head of the Russian Center and experts.
STUDENTS HOLD PRACTICAL TRAINING AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IN SMOLYAN
05/02/2020Students of Construction of Buildings and Structures, with profile Water Supply And Sewerage who study at the Smolyan branch of VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar” had a practical training at the wastewater treatment plant in the Rhodope town. The training was led by Assoc. Prof. Aleksandar Kirov and Eng. Stilian Kazaliev - head of the department of Natural Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Water Supply and Sewerage Company.
THE BLACK SEA SECURITY ACADEMY AND CENTRE FOR INNOVATION AND CYBER SECURITY IN ISRAEL SIGNED A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
05/02/2020The Black Sea Security Academy at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” and the Centre for Innovation and Cybersecurity at Ariel University in Israel have signed a partnership and cooperation agreement. A number of projects are envisaged in the field of cybersecurity - both in education and in the further training of civil servants in the Bulgarian power structures.
STUDENTS OF VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY COMPETE FOR URBAN DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERRITORY OF AN OLD INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN PARIS
31/01/2020Fourth - year students of Architecture at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” are competing in a prestigious international student competition for the urban development of a former industrial zone in the Paris Saint-Denis area. The students Presiyana Pencheva and Victoria Garnevska have joined the 16th edition of Sain Gobain's Multi Comfort 2020 and are developing their project under the guidance of their lecturer and mentor Assoc. Prof. Arch. Plamen Petrov, PhD.
"CRIMINALISTICS COURSE" BY PROF. YONKO KUNCHEV, D. SC. WAS PUBLISHED
30/01/2020The long-awaited first volume of "Criminalistics Course" by Prof. Yonko Kunchev, D. Sc. was published. Prof. Yonko Kunchev, D. Sc. is Dean of the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Head of the master’s degree programme in Forensic Expertise at the University. The course is designed in 4 volumes; each of them has a separate subject in different fields of criminalistics. The first volume deals with the historical and theoretical foundations of criminalistics. The practical function of criminalistics - to scientifically assist in the discovery of objective truth in the criminal process in accordance with its subject, is analyzed.
PROF. YOVE KEKENOVSKI TO DELIVER A LECTURE ON REGIONAL PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE REFUGEE CRISIS
29/01/2020Prof. Yove Kekenovski, one of Northern Macedonia's leading politicians, mayor of Skopje (1995-1996) and member of the trustees of the Black Sea Security Academy, will deliver a lecture to students from Varna Free University and experts from state and municipal structures in which he will present his views on EU policy on resolving the refugee and migrant crisis and its impact on the Western Balkan countries.

TWO STUDENT TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION FOR A NEW KARIN DOM BUILDING
17/01/2020Two student teams from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” have registered to participate in the International Architecture Competition for a conceptual design of the new Karin Dom building. The students involved are majoring in Architecture - fourth year, in the master's degree programme in Preservation of Cultural Heritage and graduates. They include Arch. Teodora Karagyozova, Arch. Olga Golant, Cand. Arch. Rosen Kamenov, Arch. Anna Dimitrova, Arch. Martin Dimitrov, Aleksandar Chatov, Bogdan Neshev. Both groups are guided by Arch. Zhechka Ilieva, PhD - Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Arch. Boryana Nozharova - lecturer in the professional area of Public Buildings.
