Polina Galinova, a Psychology student at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", is the champion of Bulgaria in kickboxing. Polly became the undisputed winner in the category up to 56 kg at the state kickboxing championship held in Shumen. In the competition, which took place in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, participated a record number of athletes - 356 from 56 clubs across the country.

The competition will take place on 2 March and is organised by the CFA Institute. The reports and presentations of the teams will be entirely in English.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will launch a new initiative in the academic year 2021/2022, aimed at secondary school last year students graduating from vocational secondary schools of economics and classes with extended study of economic disciplines throughout the country. They can study in the specialties Finance and Accounting and International Economic Relations at a price of BGN 290 per semester for full-time study and BGN 667 per semester for part-time study.
Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Postgraduate Qualifications organizes courses in Japanese and Portuguese for students, faculty and staff. The courses are free, online and start at the end of February 2021. The course in Japanese language and culture will be taught by Yuko Koike, a volunteer lecturer at the Association for International Intercultural Exchange in the Land of the Rising Sun. She will continue the work of her predecessor, the Japanese language teacher Fumiko Kobayashi, who, in addition to the Japanese characters, spoke charmingly about the beauty of the Japanese culture to seven groups of students, faculty and staff. Students from the fields of International Relations, Architecture, Psychology and Law showed great interest in Japanese.
