The names of eminent Bulgarians who we proudly call national enlighteners shine in the treasury of our national history and culture. Noble personalities, brave spiritual leaders, educators, writers and revolutionaries, set out to "awaken" the people, to ignite the spark of knowledge in the soul and mind. Our mission today is to keep and preserve Bulgarian spirituality; to transmit the longing for the vast and beautiful world of knowledge, science and art.
THE AUTUMN SESSION OF THE GRADUANDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES SUCCESSFULLY PASSED
30/10/2020At the beginning of the week in the Department of Construction of Buildings and Structures at the Faculty of Architecture of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" were held the defences of theses of students in the bachelor's degree specialties "Construction of Buildings and Structures" and "Fire Safety and Population Protection" and in the master's degree programmes "Building Structures", "Civil Engineering", "Water Supply and Sewerage" and "Fire and Emergency Safety of Buildings and Facilities". 15 bachelors and 21 masters successfully defended their theses and deservedly received the degrees of civil engineering and fire safety engineering. With the proposed design solutions of building structures, water supply, sewerage and fire protection systems, the graduands demonstrated an engineering approach in thinking and implementing their ideas, knowledge and skills to solve specific practical problems in accordance with current regulations.
VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WAS honoured WITH THREE VARNA AWARDS
29/10/2020The Mayor of Varna, Ivan Portnih and the Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Todor Balabanov presented today Varna Awards in the fields of culture, science and education. The ceremony took place at the Heroes' Hall in the seaside capital.

28/10/2020Dear students, We would like to inform you that on the grounds of Order RD-01-626 / 27 Oct 2020 of the Minister of Health, issued in connection with the introduction of temporary anti-epidemic measures on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, with his Order № 60 / 28 Oct 2020, the President of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" orders, as of 29 October 2020 to 12 November 2020, to suspend the classroom learning at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"; classes and exams to be conducted entirely in electronic environment. The same order cancels all mass events at the University.
STUDENTS STUDY HISTORY OF BULGARIAN ARCHITECTURE IN THE FIELD
27/10/2020The fourth-year students of Architecture, conducted 30 hours of field lectures in History of Bulgarian Architecture. During the classes they visited the largest historical sites in Varna, Devnya, Provadia, Shumen and Razgrad.
ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS OF VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WILL DEVELOP A PROJECT FOR AN INDUSTRIAL ZONE AND PRODUCTION BUILDINGS IN DEVNYA
22/10/2020Students majoring in Architecture at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" were given assignments to develop projects for development plans in the new industrial territory of Devnya, as well as production buildings in it. This happened during the "field lectures" in the course of Industrial Buildings and Complexes, which were held in the Municipality of Devnya. The future architects met with Mayor Svilen Shitov and Chief Architect Simeon Georgiev. The students got acquainted with the plans for the establishment of an industrial zone near the city.
LECTURERS AND STUDENTS FROM VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WORK ON A COMMUNICATION STRATEGY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL TOURISM IN SOUTHEAST BULGARIA
21/10/2020Cultural tourism management in the municipality of Kazanlak was discussed by students and lecturers in the master's degree programmes in Advertising and Public Relations in Business Management and Cultural Tourism Management at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The programmes are led by Assoc. Prof.Georgi Kalaglarski, PhD. Specialists from the municipal administration and experts from the regional museum and art gallery in the town also took part in the discussion.
STUDENTS PRESENTED A CONCEPTUAL MODEL FOR SOCIALIZATION ON THE TERRITORY OF "VARNA NECROPOLIS I"
20/10/2020Assoc. Prof. Zhechka Ilieva, PhD and students in the master's degree programme in Preservation of Cultural Heritage at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" presented a conceptual model for socialization on the territory of "Varna Necropolis I", where the oldest processed gold in the world was discovered.
