In fulfillment of the Cooperation Memorandum signed between VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Nantong University in China, a delegation led by Prof. Yang, in charge of the international relations of the leading Chinese university, visited Varna Free University. He was accompanied by Assist. Prof. Hanon Chen. The guests were welcomed by the vice-president of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", Yani Yanev, the vice-rector, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Kanev, and the general secretary, Prof. Dr. Galina Shamonina.
The 25th anniversary from the establishment of the Academic Dance Theater at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will be celebrated with a concert-performance "Traditions in Rhythm and Creativity". It will be held on May 9 at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna at 7:00 pm.
Works by European authors were presented in three languages during the Reading Marathon, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages Teaching and Postgraduate Qualification and the University Library at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Students, lecturers and staff presented excerpts from favorite authors and works in the original and translated into Bulgarian.

"Open Doors Week" will be held in the hall of the University Library from April 18 to 24. Readers will be able to view an exhibition featuring works by European authors, and on April 19, at 1:00 p.m., they can join a reading marathon. The events are dedicated to "23 April - World Book and Copyright Day" and the initiative of the European Commission "Day of European Authors".
The Academic Dance Theater of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" will take part in the concert of the folklore artist Iliya Lukov, which will be held on April 19, 2023 in Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Center in Varna. The wonderful boys and girls majoring in Choreography at Varna Free University are among the stars of the concert "29 Years with the Songs of Iliya Lukov", in which Natalia and Tatiana Petkovi, Kichka Hristova and her students, Dance Formation "Sharena Gayda" will take part. The event is organized by the Pirina production house.
The Рector of Varna Free University Prof. Dr. Petar Hristov visited Sakarya University in Turkey and met with the rector Prof. Dr. Hamza Al. Issues related to the educational and exchange programmes, as well as to the development of cooperation between the two universities were discussed during the talks, which were attended by Prof. Hakan Serhad Soyhan and representatives of the International Department of Sakarya. The possibilities for joint training in the Master's degree programme Intelligent Security Systems and partnership in the training of students under the "Erasmus+" programme were commented on. As a result of the meeting, an inter-institutional agreement under the Erasmus+ programme has already been prepared.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" participated in Panorama of Higher Education, organized by the Center for Personal Development Support and Counseling in Vidin. The event was held under the patronage of the mayor of the Municipality of Vidin, Dr. Tsvetan Tsenkov. The panorama attracted high school students, school-leavers, parents and teachers, who got acquainted with the possibilities of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the various programmes that the university offers for post-secondary education, the possibilities for applying, the educational exchange with various European universities, the professional realization and development of our graduates.
Graduates from Architecture at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" have successfully defended their diploma projects and very soon they will be the youngest members of the guild of architects in Bulgaria. 14 graduates presented their projects in front of the academic jury, chaired by the corresponding member Prof. D. Sc. arch. Atanas Kovachev - head of the Architecture and Urban Studies Department. They have prepared projects for residential, industrial and public buildings, two of the works were on the topic of urban planning, and one was dedicated to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage. The marks from the presented projects averaged Very good 5. This is the time when our students show what they have learned during their studies at the university, and often the real architectural project they have created is related to their dreams.
