350 ARCHITECTS AND STUDENTS TOOK PART IN TRAINING ON A PROJECT TO ADAPT BULGARIAN ARCHITECTS TO THE GERMAN MARKET FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
Over 350 architects and students from all over the country took part in the educational courses organized by Varna Free University under the project "Alliance for Adapting Bulgarian Architects to the German Market for Architectural Services". It is co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and has as partners the Foundation "Institute for Digital Transformations" and the Munich architecture company ST Architekten GmbH.
The project brought together active architects from both countries, revealing new opportunities for the realization of our architects in Germany. The newly created Alliance outlined an area of international cooperation, with the help of which Bulgarian architects join a new field of professional training and development. The new environment for knowledge transfer also provokes a change in the educational practice of the continuing professional development of Bulgarian architects. The implementation of the project has a long-term impact, both on the professional community and on the training organizations. As a result of the work on the project, there is a tendency to increase the number of Bulgarian architects who work with contractors in Germany.
The project started in March 2022 and was implemented in specialized training courses in two stages, led by arch. Dipl. Eng. Stoyan Todorov - graduate of the Technical University of Munich, member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, the Association of Freelance Architects in Germany and the Association of German Engineers.
More than 350 students and active architects who graduated from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and are working in the country and various European cities took part in the courses which gained great popularity. Graduates of other Bulgarian universities majoring in Architecture we also interested in the course.
After each course, those who successfully passed the exam were awarded a certificate, as a total of over 200 participants received certificates for being part of the project.
The final conference, presenting the results from the courses, will take place on February 10, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in the Academic and Sports Complex of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
