23RD INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE "APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL PRACTICE" BEGINS AT VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR"

The 23rd International Scientific Conference "Applied Psychology and Social Practice", organised by the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Social, Economic and Computer Sciences at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", will be held in the period 21-23 June 2024. The event will be officially opened on 21 June (Friday) at 10:00 am in Hall 2 of the University's Educational and Sports Complex.
The plenary report will be delivered by Prof. Lyudmil Georgiev, D.Sc. - leading Bulgarian psychologist and lecturer at Varna Free University. His research interests are in the field of existential psychology, ethnopsychology and psychology of religions. He is the creator of the Bulgarian school of critical psychology.

The conference traditionally gathers leading scientists and researchers from prestigious universities and scientific institutes in Bulgaria and abroad. Among the participants are students, doctoral students, teachers and scientists from PU "Paisiy Hilendarski", SU "St Kliment Ohridski", VTU "St Cyril and St Methodius", MU "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" Varna, Institute for Population and Human Research at BAS and VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". International participation is represented by researchers from Poland and Israel who will enrich the discussions with new perspectives and ideas.

Within the framework of the conference, nearly 50 papers covering a variety of topics and approaches in applied psychology and social practice will be presented.

Young scientists will have the opportunity to present their scientific developments and receive valuable guidance from established specialists in the field. Among the participants will be students studying psychology, law, preschool pedagogy and Bulgarian philology. They will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas and projects with leading academics and practitioners, which will enrich their academic experience and provide them with new opportunities for development.

The conference will also provide a platform for the participation of practitioners who will share their experience and views on current issues and challenges in the field of applied psychology and social practice. The exchange of knowledge and experience will contribute to the development of effective solutions and approaches in the professional practice.
