TWO STUDENTS FROM VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY WITH "STUDENT OF THE YEAR" NOMINATIONS
05/03/2024Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has а reason to be proud, as two of its students received nominations in the prestigious national competition 'Student of the Year', organized by the National Representation of тхе Student Councils in Bulgaria. Mila Petrova, a fifth-year majoring in Law, and Yana Stoyanova, a fourth-year student in Fashion Design were nominated in the Legal Sciences and Student Volunteer of the Year categories, respectively.

02/03/2024The foreign students from the preparatory course for language and specialized training, students from the Erasmus+ programme and doctoral students from Israel got acquainted with the Bulgarian traditions and customs related to the holiday of Baba Marta. The event was organized by the Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Postgraduate Qualification.

26/02/2024Students majoring in Business Administration and Management and from the master's degree programme in Tax and Customs Control at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" - the Smolyan branch, participated in an organized training within the frames of programme of International Fair Plovdiv. They were joined by students from the Smolyan Vocational High School for Tourism and Construction "Nikola Vaptsarov". The initiative aims at expanding the skills, knowledge and attitudes that are at the center of the development of entrepreneurial culture as well as expanding knowledge in the field of investment projects.

23/02/2024The charity event called CHARITY BAZAAR "Baba Marta with a Cause" of the Eclectika Club at the Student Council at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" provoked a lot of interest. The wonderful martenitsi, charms, purses, bags, stickers made by the students of the club sold out in just an hour! Handcrafted items made by the team especially for the event, filled us with spring inspiration and made us think about the sustainability of contemporary art, traditions and culture!

22/02/2024Second year students majoring in Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" visited the Administrative Court - Varna. They were led by the lecturer in administrative law and process and long-time judge from the Supreme Administrative Court, Marina Mihaylova.
FOREIGN STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN A WORKSHOP TO LEARNT HOW TO MAKE MARTENITSI
21/02/2024The team of the Student Council at Varna Free University taught a master class for making martenitsi by the foreign students who are studying at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The event is part of initiatives to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between students. Under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Marinov, the participants were introduced to the rich symbolism and legends associated with the martenitsa - a symbol of unity and spring, in Bulgarian culture.
