13 law students fromVarna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" have chosen Varna District Court to begin their compulsory internship. At a formal ceremony, they signed their assumption of office acts and the chairman of the court, Judge Marin Marinov, personally handed in their internship books.
Law trainees include graduates and members of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" teams in Law. Lehman Hakif, Sarah Keryan and Ralitsa Ivanova have already become part of the Varna District Court. Last spring, they put the Civil Law team of Varna Free University in second place in the ninth national inter-university competition for civil and commercial law cases. Our girls beat some of the best student teams in the country - two teams from Sofia University, two teams from Veliko Tarnovo University and the team from the University of Rousse "Angel Kanchev", who were at the finals of the prestigious competition. Lecturers from the Department of
Law and judges from Varna District Court - Diana Miteva and Neyko Dimitrov helped with their excellent preparation in the student competition.
The candidates for the court are the first whose internship will go under the changed rules for legal capacity, which has been in force since January this year, the court's press service reported. Trainees are given the opportunity to choose their own mentors, but in the event of difficulty, the opportunity is given to the Chairman of the District Court. 1/3 of the 15 new trainees reported that they had opted for criminal law, while the others equally expressed preference for civil and commercial law.
The internship of the judicial candidates goes through 2 stages - 2 months general and 4 months specialized internship. For half a year, they have the opportunity to gain direct experience and practical experience of the main functions, duties and organization of the activity of the judicial authorities, lawyers and notaries.
