Requirements and rules for the qualification: 240 credits, of which 10 are obtained for successfully defended diploma thesis. The training ends with a diploma thesis defence, but only students who have successfully passed all their exams throughout their course of studies and have defended successfully their semester projects are admitted to defence.
Profile of the major: The main goal of the program is to prepare professionals in the field of graphic design with skills to design total-graphic design of company advertising, print communication graphics, screen graphics, web design, design of exhibition spaces and events.
The high quality of education is guaranteed by the involvement of outstanding Bulgarian experts in the field and practicing designers, as well as with the collaboration of experts from Italy, Germany, Spain and the US, with which the university has partnership relations or works jointly on mobility programmes for lecturers and students. The latter may take part of their training modules at partner European universities under the Erasmus programme. The curriculum is flexible and allows adaptation to such practices, given the uniform European credit system in higher education.
Key learning outcomes: The graduated graphic designers will be able to design total-graphic design of company advertising (logo, jobbing work - business card, form, envelope, flyers, brochures, catalogues, posters, billboards, web-based advertising, etc.), print communication graphics, screen graphics, web design, space layouts, concept design, etc.
The successful graduates receive qualification "graphic designer" with diploma and the special labels for quality and recognition of the education in Europe - ECTS Label and DS Label, which Varna "Chernorizets Hrabar" has been awarded with.
