The Department of Foreign Language Training and Postgraduate Qualification at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" conducts the following language courses for foreign citizens:
 
• Provides specialised language training in Bulgarian and English, which allows successful students to continue their education in bachelor's and / or master's degree programmes at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" or at other Bulgarian universities. The training is conducted according to an approved curriculum in the period November of the current calendar year - September of the next calendar year and includes intensive training in Bulgarian or English. The tuition fee can be paid in installments. The training can be conducted face-to-face and online.
 
• Certifies knowledge and determines the level of proficiency in Bulgarian as a foreign language and in English, and those who successfully pass the exam acquire the right to continue their education in bachelor's and / or master's degree programmes at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and other universities in Bulgaria. The exam for determining the level of proficiency in Bulgarian / English can be conducted face-to-face and on-line.
 
• Conducts specialised courses in Bulgarian and English for foreign citizens who wish to increase their language competence.
 
• Offers a special opportunity for short-term intensive training in the Bulgarian language and taking an exam related to certification at the level of language proficiency in connection with obtaining Bulgarian citizenship. The trainings can be conducted face-to-face and on-line.
