About VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"

The Russian Center of Varna Free University celebrated the Victory Day - 9 May


The Russian Center at Varna Free University took part in the international initiative "Nasha Pobeda", dedicated to the 72nd anniversary from the victory in the Great Patriotic War.


Students and lecturers from the University, as well as guests from the Technical University of Varna, watched the Victory Parade in Moscow. There was also a film studio with Fedor Bondarchuk's “Stalingrad” and Alexander Rogozkin's “Kukushka”.


The Bulgarian participants took part in a gesture of gratitude to veterans of the war. In pre-prepared videos, they expressed their admiration to the millions who died in the name of peace and justice.



In the first of the clips, the soloist of the Varna Opera Geo Chobanov performs the song "Eh, Dorogi" and in the second one - the student from Varna Free University Christina Hristova performs the song "Kukushka" from the eponymous film.



Scenes from the military archives of the Union of War Disabled People in Varna and from the personal archive of Ms. Snezhana Ivanova and Dr. Dobrin Dobrev, as well as scenes from the film "Immortal Regiment in Varna", provided with the courtesy of the General Consulate Of the Russian Federation in Varna were used in the videos. The author of the videos is Petar Pavlov from the University's Media Center.
