Students start preliminary inspections on the project on February 10, 2017. They are meeting the chief architect of the city Victor Buzev at 09:00 am at the Varna Municipality.
The first stage involves inspections of the districts "Primorski" (10:00, 92 "General Kolev" Boulevard) "Mladost" (11:00, 10 Residential complex "Troshevo") and " Vladislav Varnenchik "(12:00, Residential complex Vladislav Varnenchik, block 302, entrance 17).
On the first day of their job the future architects, building engineers and designers will meet with representatives of the regional councils and will look at part of the potential sites on the territory of the respective districts.
Students from Varna Free University, the Vocational School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy "Vasil Levski" and representatives of regional administrations came up with the idea to set up projects to make the urban environment more aesthetic; their implementation is to start in the next three years.
On the specially made Facebook page residents of the city will also be able to signal and give their suggestions for renovating and making new intelligent urban spaces.
An international architectural competition related to the renovation of the urban environment in Varna will be held within the student lab at the end of May. Students from Russia, Romania, Italy, Turkey and Bulgaria will attend. The initiative of Varna Free University will launch a pilot project for renovation of buildings - immovable cultural heritage in the city center. The task for the competition will be announced at the forum dedicated to the immovable cultural heritage and the national strategy for energy efficiency, which will be held on February 24, 2017, at 13:30 pm at Yunashki hall in Varna.
