About VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"

His Excellency Mr Marian Yakubotsi, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Bulgaria: "I am very impressed by what I saw at Varna Free University"

    The Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Bulgaria – His Excellency Mr. Marian Yakubotsi, Mr Roman Roth, Second Secretary and Consul of Slovakia in Bulgaria and the Honorary Consul of the country, Mrs Edita Blagoeva visited Varna Free University and held a working meeting with the management of the higher education institution.



    The meeting was attended by the President of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc., the Vice Presidents - Assoc. Prof. Krasimir Nedyalkov and Mr Yani Yanev, the Rector – Prof. Galya Gercheva, D.Sc. and the Vice Rectors – Prof. Pavel Pavlov, PhD and Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD and the Deans of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration - Assoc. Prof. Eleonora Tankova, PhD and of the Faculty of Law - Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD.



    The President of Varna Free University, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, PhD presented the structure and specific features of the university in the context of its 25-year history and the awarded national and international accreditations and certifications. She pointed out as one of the main priorities of the university – the challenges of the Fourth industrial revolution - digitalization and new technologies that are at the core of the new educational model that the university is currently introducing.



    "We find your visit to be extremely useful for the development of the cooperation of Varna Free University with academic institutions in the Slovak Republic and in terms of content concerning also the topic of the public lecture you have chosen," commented Prof. Nedyalkova.



    His Excellency Mr. Marian Yakubotsi thanked for the invitation and the opportunity to visit the university. "I am very impressed by what I saw at Varna Free University", he said and congratulated the management for the achievements. The Slovak diplomat declared the embassy's readiness to assist in the establishment of contacts between Varna Free University and universities in Slovakia. He expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the first Slovak students at VFU under the Erasmus + programme.


    After the meeting, Ambassador Yakubotsi delivered to students, lecturers and guests of Varna Free University public lecture on The Experience of Slovakia during the EU Presidency."The most important challenge for Bulgaria related to its forthcoming Presidency of the Council of Europe is related to the availability of well-prepared people. "
