About VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"

Varna Free University presented the citizens of Varna with a gala concert performance dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the university

    The series of events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" ended with a gala concert performance in Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Centre - Varna.



    The spectacular show was impressive step forward in the performance and directing of the genre diversity of performing arts, entirely in line with the launched at the university

virtual education platform "Smart Future." Impressive and spectacular synergy between music, dance, artistic lighting and vision.



    The numerous spectators who have overflowed Hall 1 enjoyed the performances of the folklore ensemble of the Academic Dance Theatre of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", "Art Dance" ballet, the soloists of Bolshoi Theater, Diana Kosireva and Andrei Bolotin, the soloist of the Sofia Philharmonics - Velin Iliev, "Intro" string quartet, Krisia Todorova, vocal group of the ensemble for folk songs and dances "Varna", the representative dance ensemble of Konstantin Preslavski National School of Humanities and Arts – Varna, the student of Varna Free University, Stephen Achikor, students majoring in Fashion and Fashion Management and the friends of Varna Free University - "The   unique voices of Bulgaria" - Georgi Petrov, Veselin Vachev and Boris Lukov.



    Presenters of the concert were the students of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in the class of Prof. Stefan Danailov - Rada Kairiakova and Pavel Ivanov. The directing was entrusted to the unrivaled aesthetic sense of Prof. Petar Angelov.

    As a graduate of Varna Free University, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Lilyana Pavlova delivered an address to the audience.

    In the final part of the concert, the President of Varna Free University, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. and the Rector, Prof. Galya Gercheva, D.Sc. accepted the congratulations of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ivaylo Kalfin and the governor of the district of Varna, Stoyan Pasev who awarded them with honorary plaquettes.  

    Among the many congratulatory letters and flowers sent on the occasion of the quarter century anniversary of the university, were those of the President of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, the Prime Minister - Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Education and Science Meglena Kuneva, the ambassadors of Mongolia, Israel and Kazakhstan - Their Excellencies: Prof. Lahmursen Dugerdzhav, Irit Lillian and Temirtay Izbastin, the Sofia mayor Yordanka Fandakova, rectors of universities at home and abroad, representatives of partner businesses and public organizations, secondary schools and creative teams.
